Hello my friends.
This is a very hard blog to write.
When I started searching for ways to make money online, I was not sure how I was going to do it.
I signed up and tried many different programs and was not successful. I certainly spent more money than I made seeing how I made $60 on one sale only.
As I started to investigate making money online and having an online business, I was planning for the future. My goal was to plan for retirement. My retirement is coming up quick and wanted to make it more comfortable for my husband and myself.
I found a mentor, Dean Holland, and started my online affiliate marketing business. I have learned so much about affiliate marketing with Dean’s guidance and the Affiliate System program he provides. One of my goals is as I learn and grow my business I can help others do the same.
As I continue on this journey I have had a few setbacks. In the past 2 months I have been to a wedding and two funerals. The wedding was fun, but of course the funerals were not. Last week I attended my brother-in-law’s funeral. What a wonderful man he was and will be missed. He passed from bone cancer and I have comfort knowing that he is no longer in any pain.
You see one of my goals when I started, was to make money online and help others do the same, but it is much more than that now. My goals have changed slightly. Do I still want to make money online? Do I still want to help others do the same? Yes, but now for different reasons.
New Goal
I recently learned the unsettling news that my spouse is ill with a rare lung disease. Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis. This is a very rare disease and there is currently no cure. We are not sure the length of time my husband has left.
If you read about this disease online it states that life expectancy can be 3-5 years and with a lung transplant maybe 5-10 years. We will be visiting a lot of doctors soon and will be placing him on the list for that needed lung transplant. I have informed my husband that I expect him to beat the odds and stay around for another 20 years Who is to say how long he has except God.
I recently watched a recording of Dean talking about our online business and having something that you are driven by. I now know what will be driving me and what I am passionate about. I will be sharing in my videos on my primary and secondary traffic platforms the importance of good health and how it should not be taken for granted. I will be educating my audience on this and of course on affiliate marketing. I feel strongly that this is what I am meant to do.
My new goal is now to take care of my husband in this time. He has always taken care of me and now it is my time to take care of him. I will be successful as we will need this money for medical bills and for my spouse to not have to work.
I am also going to set a goal of making 300,000 in 2 years. The medical bills will be more than that but that is the number where I am going to start.
If I can get to this goal, our life will become a little easier. There will be less worries about paying the medical bills.
If you want something bad enough you will find a way to get it. And that is what I am doing. I am determined to make this work. My husband will not have to worry about working in this tough time. My goal is to relieve any stress from my husband regarding money.
Whatever your reason or goal is to start an online business and make money online, remember it and use that to propel you towards success.
Are you striving for a more comfortable life style? Do you want a bigger house or a nicer car? Are you wanting to help your family have a easier life? Let me know in the comments what is your “why” and what are your “goals” for starting your online business. I would love to hear from you.
Please know that I do not write this blog for sympathy. I will take any prayers and positive thoughts you can send my way. I am only stating that my “why” and my ‘goal’ is now very clear. I hope you have found your “why” and you know your “goals”.
Till next time.
Sherri

Hi Sherri,
Apologies for being late in reading your weekly blog and learning about your husbands medical situation.
Clarity of your why will definitely bring you closer to your financial goal – I’m certain of it.
Reading how strong and determined this has brought you to be is also something very clear that I’m reading.
Sending you a bunch of Canadian hugs and love!
Sherri,
So sorry to hear about your husband’s situation, but it is truly great that you have turned this into a rock-solid understanding of your why. I have often thought of the why for me and it always seemed to change until I finally figured out what meant the most to me. I can certainly tell that your change of goal to your new why is truly the most important thing for you. Thanks for sharing, wishing you and your family the best during these times.
