Start at the beginning of my journey.
As I have posted in a previous blog, I will be documenting the steps I am taking to start my online affiliate business. I am posting these steps to hopefully help guide you as you start your journey in affiliate marketing.
What is affiliate marketing? Take a look at the Wikipedia description for affiliate marketing.
The actions I’ve undertaken on my affiliate journey thus far.
My online affiliate marketing journey started with seeking a mentor. I tried affiliate marketing on my own and was unsuccessful. I did not give up and eventually found Dean Holland. He seemed genuine and honestly wanting to help others. I then joined the Affiliate System training as the start of my affiliate journey. I will be documenting the steps taken in Affiliate System along with my success, struggles and failures. It is with these postings that I hope you may also find success with your affiliate online business.
First Step of affiliate journey: Choose and purchase a Domain name (Owned asset)
Moving on to the next step in my adventure, I proceeded to integrate my chosen domain name with Cloudflare. This involves the simple process of creating an account with Cloudflare. The good news? Cloudflare is not only user-friendly but also absolutely free, offering an added layer of security for your domain name. There are paid options of Cloudflare but not necessary at this point. The process entails adding your domain name to Cloudflare and making a quick update to the DNS (nameservers) settings. Now, that might sound a bit technical, but trust me, it’s a breeze and only takes a few easy steps to accomplish.
Third step of affiliate journey: Deploy my owned asset.
Now, for the fun part – setting up your very own WordPress site within the Affiliate System software. Think of it as owning your digital masterpiece! The cool part is, you get to choose whether to add new domains, play around with subdomains, or even bring in your existing website if you already have one. It’s like customizing your own corner of the internet.
Conculsion.
Here’s a glimpse into the steps I’ve taken on my affiliate journey so far. As the name of my blog suggests, this is indeed a journey – one where you’ll encounter victories and lessons, along with a few speedbumps and roadblocks. Fear not, for I’m here to be your guide as you embark on your own exciting journey. Let’s navigate this adventure together!

Michael, thank you for your comment. It is my pleasure to share my experiences.
I agree with you on the part of choosing a domain name.
It can be as quick as a few minutes or as long as a few hours or even days, agonizing over which domain name to use.
In the past, I have wasted hundreds of dollars buying domain names that I ended up not using.
I am happy for you that you have managed to find a domain name you are comfortable with.
Sherri, well done on completing all your steps and creating your newsletter. I have subscribed to it just now and look forward to reading your newsletters. Would be great if you could also follow mine. There’s a link at the bottom of my posts and also in the top menu. it’s a great summary of what you’ve done and what you’ve accomplished so far and the steps you’ve taken this week. Keep doing it you’re going really well and I can’t wait to see what happens next , thanks, Atif
What a start! I cant wait to see the next steps that you make. Remember to celebrate all the steps of success, you forget how far you’ve come.
I’ve chosen the same theme as you, but mine page is awful. I cant get it to look simple. I was considering a different theme, but you may have made me think twice. Yours looks brilliant. Well done
Sarah,
Thank you for the comment. I really like the theme I am using, and it did take me a while to set it up like I want it. You will also get there. Good luck!
Sherri

Hi Sherri
Congratulations, those steps are crucial for the overall business setup.
I was waiting for years to set up a blog but thanks to the help of my mentor, I’ve done it.
Now the most exciting part is to create content and get visitors to read it.
Looking forward to your next post.

Looks like you are well on your way. I actually got a domain name started it then bought a different one and have been using it and now I want to go back to the original arrrrh. Best of luck and look forward to yours next post.
Jon,
I tended to overthink what my domain name should be. I am sure you will use the one you like the best. Good Luck!
Sherri,
Great job in doing the1, 2, 3 knockout. You have been knocking it out of park with all the things you have done on your journey. Isn’t great when you can look back and see how far you’ve come in such a short period of time.
You got this!!
CJ
Sounds like you’re off to a great start! With everything, as you mentioned, come successes and obstacles that we learn through. For me it obstacles were less technical and related more toward my own self limitations which I’ve overcome many. You are doing great! Keep on the journey! Look forward to your next posts.
Denny
Great start and summary of steps! I, too, am on an online journey “quest.” I look forward to following your progress and I bet I learn a few things from you. 🙂
